Why?
To raise funds to provide FREE classes and support in all parts of town for families whose loved ones have mental illness.
To raise awareness that mental illness affects us all.
To show others they are not alone, and there is a community to help them.
To stop the stigma . . . once and for all.
Location/Parking:
The Walk takes place at the Harbor Lawn of Waterfront Park on the river. The address for the Green Parking Lot is 300 River Road. It is free to park there for the NAMI group. Additionally, Waterfront Park offers 7 parking lots, participants can park along the Waterfront side (north side) of River Road (meters are enforced on Saturday we’re told), and there is a surface lot across from the Great Lawn.

With a focus toward today’s youth, their expression through art, and their power to stomp the stigma surrounding mental health, The Pete Foundation and PeteFest Music Festival are proud to host a "poster competition" for middle- and high-school students in Louisville. All students grades five through twelve were encouraged to submit a piece of art that would be the inspiration for the official 2018 PeteFest poster.
